On 14 March, Criss Uudam, development manager of the company, attended the conference Säästlik hoone 2017 where he shared our experiences in installing solar panels to the extension of Tartu Lõunakeskus.
It is not always possible to install a solar power plant on the roof of a commercial building, as the roof might already include other utility systems or a car park. It is also necessary to check that older roofs, especially roofs built on steel trusses, can support the power plant. In the case of unsuitable roofs, the solar panels can be installed on exterior walls. Nowadays, there are panels that match the architecture of the building so well that passers-by might not even realise that the dark panels covering the walls produce electricity.
